7th to 8th graders - For GPA & PSAT 8/9
PSAT 8/9 Prep class
Most of middle school districts around Metropolitan Chicago area choose PSAT 8/9 for their high school placement test. To prepare PSAT 8/9, Jay's EDU has 8 weeks prep camp for 8th graders. With Jay's EDU's long history of teaching PSAT/SAT/ACT, students will be prepared for the one of the most important tests of middle school.

Math Classes
Algebra I, Class for 7th to 8th graders
Based on the 'Common Core', Algebra I is a course in middle school math, usually taught in the 8th grade. Advanced level students take it in 7th grade. The class objective of Algebra I is to prepare students for the study of algebra and make students prepared for next level math such as Geometry and Algebra II.
Algebra I은 variable (변수)의 정의와 응용을 배우는 수업입니다. Common Core에 따르면, 일반적으로 Algebra I은 8-9학년 수학 수업입니다만, 일부 학생들은 7학년에 algebra I 수업을 받고 있기도 합니다. 이 수업은 Algebra II 와 Pre-Calc로 이어지는 수학적 정의와 원리를 배우는 중요한 수업입니다. Algebra I의 전 과정을 커버합니다.
Geometry/Basic Trigonometry, 8 to 10th grader
The Geometry course is designed to emphasize the study of the properties and applications of common geometric figures in two and three dimensions. It includes the study of transformations and right triangle trigonometry.
Geometry는 기하학을 배우는 과정으로 평면과 입체에서 도형의 정의와 특성을 배우는 수업입니다. 이와 더불어 Trigonometry (삼각함수)의 기본도 함께 강의합니다. Geometry의 전 과정과 Trigonometry Basic을 강의합니다.
Algebra II, class for 8th to 10th graders (for Stevenson High School District & its Middle School Students)
Algebra II prepares students to take Pre-Calculus and Statistics. A major goal of this course is for students to develop skills in manipulating and solving linear, quadratic, exponential, polynomial, radical, rational, and logarithmic equations. Usually, Math sequence is 'Algebra I – Geometry – Algebra II'; however, Stevenson High School and its middle school districts have math sequence as 'Algebra I – Algebra II – Geometry'. Therefore, depends on school districts, students might prepare themselves for Algebra II earlier than others.
Algebra II 수업은 다항식과 함께 확률, 다항함수, 로그함수등을 배우는 과목입니다. 일반적으로 9 - 10학년에 배우게 되며, SAT는 주로 Algebra II 까지만 출제가 됩니다. Algebra II의 전 과정을 수업합니다. 일반적인 Algebra I – Geometry – Algebra II의 수학 sequence와는 다르게, Stevenson High School과 Stevenson에 학생을 보내는 중학교 학군들에서는 수학의 sequence가 Algebra I – Algebra II – Geometry의 순서입니다. 학군에 따라서는 Algebra II를 일찍 준비해야 하는 경우도 있습니다.

Reading and Grammar II - For 7th to 8th Graders
Jay's EDU Reading & Grammar II classes are designed for students to be prepared for reading comprehension skills & grammar skills. Reading classes prepares students for comprehension skills for standardized tests, such as PSAT 8/9. Also, Grammar II class will prepare students for critical grammar skills for PSAT 8/9.
Jay’s EDU의 Reading and Grammar II 수업은 7-8 학년 학생들을 대상으로 준비되었으며 PSAT 8/9을 대비한 기본적 독해능력과 문장의 구조, 품사등의 영어 문법을 가르치는 수업입니다. PSAT 8/9의 고득점을 목표로 고등학교 Placement test와 이후의 Standardized test를 준비하는 수업입니다.
